The TD Registration App ("App") is developed and maintained by Telangana Diagnostics, Government of Telangana.
This App is designed for authorized healthcare personnel to manage patient registration, laboratory orders,
radiology, CT scan, ultrasound reports, and consignment tracking within the Telangana Diagnostics network.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
a) Personal Information
The App collects the following personal information for patient registration and healthcare management:
Patient name
Aadhar number (national identification number)
Age and gender
Mobile number
Address
Medical Record Number (MRN)
Patient ID / OP Lab ID
b) Health Information
The App processes the following health-related data as part of diagnostic and healthcare services:
Clinical diagnosis
Blood group and Rh type
Test history (thyroid, HbA1c/diabetes tests)
Program enrollment information (e.g., TB program)
Doctor/physician assignments
Laboratory orders and results
Radiology, CT scan, and ultrasound reports
c) Authentication & Session Data
To enable secure access, the App stores the following session-related data locally on your device:
Username
Authentication token (temporary session token)
Facility ID, Facility name, and Hub ID
User group/role (e.g., Radiologist, Mini Hub)
3. How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:
Patient registration and identification within the Telangana Diagnostics network
Managing laboratory orders, radiology, CT scan, and ultrasound workflows
Sample tracking and consignment management
Authenticating authorized healthcare personnel
Ensuring data integrity and secure communication with government healthcare servers
Important: We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or any purpose
unrelated to healthcare service delivery. The App does not contain any advertising SDKs or analytics trackers.
4. Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:
Encrypted Local Storage: All sensitive data stored on the device (credentials, tokens, facility information) is encrypted using AES-256-GCM with Android Keystore-backed master keys.
Encrypted Communication: All data transmitted between the App and servers is encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are AES-encrypted before transmission.
Certificate Pinning: The App uses SSL certificate pinning to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
Root Detection: The App will not operate on rooted or compromised devices to prevent unauthorized data access.
Device Integrity: Google Play Integrity API is used to verify device security.
No Cloud Backup: Sensitive application data is not backed up to cloud services.
5. Device Permissions
The App requires the following device permissions:
Camera: Used for barcode scanning of medical samples and investigation tracking. The camera is not used for any purpose other than scanning barcodes within the App.
Internet Access: Required to communicate with Telangana Diagnostics servers for data synchronization, patient registration, and report retrieval.
Network State: Used to check network connectivity before making server requests.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google Play Services (Vision): Used for barcode detection functionality. Google's privacy policy applies to this service.
Google Play Integrity API: Used to verify device integrity and security. No personal data is shared with Google through this service beyond standard device attestation.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising,
or social media SDKs. No data is shared with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
7. Data Sharing
Your data is shared only within the Telangana Diagnostics healthcare network:
Data is transmitted exclusively to authorized Government of Telangana healthcare servers.
Patient data may be accessed by authorized healthcare personnel at registered facilities within the network.
We do not sell, trade, or share personal or health data with any third parties outside the Telangana Diagnostics network.
Data may be disclosed if required by law, court order, or government regulation.
8. Data Retention
Session Data: Authentication tokens are temporary and stored only during active sessions on the device.
Patient Data: Patient records are retained on government servers in accordance with applicable healthcare data retention policies of the Government of Telangana.
Local Data: Locally stored credentials can be cleared by logging out of the App or clearing the App's data from device settings.
9. Children's Privacy
This App is designed for use by authorized healthcare professionals and is not intended for use by
children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Patient data for minors is collected and managed by authorized healthcare personnel as part of
medical care delivery.
10. Your Rights
As a user of this App, you have the right to:
Request access to your personal data held within the system
Request correction of inaccurate personal information
Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to applicable government data retention requirements
Withdraw consent for data processing (note: this may limit your ability to use the App)
